Downtown Street Eats Returns to Cadillac Square for 2026
One of Detroit's most beloved weekday rituals rolls back into Cadillac Square on Monday. Downtown Street Eats — Michigan's largest weekly food truck experience, drawing 2,500+ people daily according to the Downtown Detroit Partnership — returns for its 2026 season beginning April 6. Cadillac Square closes to vehicles for the event, and between 15 and 20 of Michigan's best food trucks rotate through across the spring and summer.
New to the 2026 lineup is the Italian-themed Detroit Panzerotti Co., joining returning favorites selling Korean tacos, smash burgers, birria, vegan bowls, and Detroit's own signature food-truck creations. The event runs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through early October.
If you're going: Cadillac Square sits between Woodward and Campus Martius — a short walk from every downtown hotel. Arrive by 11:45 a.m. to beat the lunch rush. Cash and card are both accepted at most trucks.
